How do I find a service Provider in my area?

On the home page, click on Category and select the type of service you’re looking for. We currently have the options of Dog Groomers, Dog Trainers, Dog Sitters, Dog Walkers and Pooper Scoopers. Once you’ve selected your category, enter your address. The search results page will give you a list of providers in your area.


I ENTERED A CATEGORY AND MY ADDRESS BUT THE MESSAGE SAYS “NOTHING FOUND”

Unfortunately, this means we don’t have any providers in your area yet. We do track when searches are met with zero results to let providers in your area know, there’s a need in that area. If you’d like us to alert you when someone does become available on our site. Please use the contact us page to let us know.


HOW IS THE PROVIDER 4.5 OR HIGHER STAR RATING DETERMINED?

We take star ratings from sites like Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Better Business Bureau (BBB) of each provider then average those ratings.


DOES GETDOGSERVICES REQUIRE BACKGROUND CHECKS AND LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY VERIFICATION FOR PROVIDERS?

Yes, we do. Your safety and the safety of your household is our highest priority. All service providers on GDS that visit a customer’s home are required to pass a background check. For brick and mortar store fronts, we look at reviews and better business bureau ratings. The Providers on our site must maintain a minimum 4.5 star rating average across Yelp, Google , Facebook and GDS.  


HOW DO I BOOK A SERVICE?

Once you’ve decided on the Provider you’d like to book a service with, take a look at the service pricing and scroll down to the bottom of the page to select the booking box. This box will have the service name and cost.

  • Once you select the box, click Next.
  • Select the date and time you’d like service. In some cases this may be selecting a date and if applicable, the service provider will contact you after booking to arrange a recurring schedule. Click Next
  • Enter your contact information and any notes to the provider. ie. gate code, text me when you arrive, etc.
  • Enter payment information and submit.

You’ll receive an email confirmation of the service and service schedule details.


I booked a service, what happens next?

You’ll receive a confirmation from GetDogServices confirming your service, date and time. You’ll also receive an email reminder the day before your service. If you’ve booked a service that is a recurring service or a visit to your home, the Provider will reach out to confirm the scheduling details. 


I’m not exactly sure on the date and time of service. Do I have to select a date and or time to book?

Yes but you can add in the booking notes that you’d like the Provider to contact you to discuss scheduling.


HOW DO I reschedule a service?

Login into your customer dashboard, click Bookings and click the drop down arrow to the right. Click Edit Bookings, select the date/time you’d like to reschedule to, click the Update button. 

You and the Provider will receive an email confirming the change.

NOTE: Please be sure to check the Provider’s cancellation or reschedule policy prior to rescheduling. If you are rescheduling an appointment prior to 24 hours notice, please contact the Provider directly.


how do I view my service details in my customer portal?

Once logged into your customer portal, click Schedule. You’ll see an orange dot on the calendar to signify you have a service scheduled. Click on the dot or the date and the details of your scheduled service will be displayed.


I marked a few providers as favorites, where can I find them?

Once logged into your customer portal, click on Favorites. You’ll see the list of favorited Providers. You can click on the Provider to go back to their profile page.


How do I change my contact details?

Once logged into your customer portal, in the left menu column, click Profile. Scroll down to the Contact section and enter your new details. Click the green Submit Information to save your new contact details.


How do I update my password?

Once logged into your customer portal, in the left menu column, click Profile. Scroll down to the Password section and enter your new password. Click the green Submit Information to save your new contact details.


Forgot your password?

If you forget your password, you can reset it by selecting the “login” button in the upper right of the GDS website then select “Forgot Password” in the bottom right corner of the login popup that displays. You will receive an email with a temporary password that you’ll use to login to your account. Once you’ve logged in using the temporary password, you can update your account with a new password by clicking Profile and scrolling to the password section. Once you’ve set your new password, be sure to click the “Submit Information” button to save it.


FORGOT YOUR User Id?

You can use the email address used when setting up your account.
